Waste & Recycling

Recycling services are provided by OSS Waste Disposal (2002) Ltd.  Curbside Collection is provided in both Ste Rose du Lac and Laurier. Please click here to view the 2024 Recycling Schedule . Ste. Rose Recycling Depot - Located at the Ste. Rose Waste Disposal Grounds in the South East of 15-24-15W and Public Drop Off located in Town at 728 Central Avenue.

Both the Ste. Rose and Laurier Waste Disposal Grounds are operated by the Municipality of Ste. Rose, call 204-447-2229 for more information.


Burning and Scavenging are not Permitted

Summer Hours Start First Monday in April
Monday 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Wednesday 9:00 am. to 5:00 pm.
Friday 1:00 pm. to 8:00 pm.
Saturday 12:00 pm. to 5:00 pm.

Winter Hours Start First Monday in November
Monday 12:00 pm. to 5:00 pm.
Wednesday 12:00 pm. to 5:00 pm.
Saturday 12:00 pm. to 5:00 pm.

The Following Recyclables Are Acceptable:
  • Newspaper, Magazines, Catalogues, Office Paper & Shredded Office Paper (flyers & inserts) (including glossy paper) (bond paper, envelopes, craft paper etc.)
  • Boxboard, Gable top beverage cartons, & Tetra Pak containers (cereal boxes, laundry detergent boxes, toy boxes, shoe boxes, pizza boxes etc.) (Milk, milk productions and juice cartons) (Beverage containers)
  • Corrugated Cardboard
  • Aluminum Cans
  • Steel/Tin Cans (no need to remove labels).
  • PET #1 Plastic (soft drink bottles, some food and personal care product containers).
  • HDPE #2 Natural Plastic Containers (milk jugs).
  • HDPE #2 Rigid Plastic Containers (some food and personal care product containers).
  • LDPE #4 Plastic, PP #5 Plastic, & #7 Plastic Containers (Containers and lids from margarine, yogurt and other food products) (Margarine, yogurt and other food products) (Ketchup, syrup, margarine containers, etc.)
  • Glass Jars & Bottles (Liquor bottles and glass jars) Please remove all lids
  • All Containers should be rinsed and the bottle caps removed.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT:
Broken glass, Styrofoam, #3 and #6 plastics, plastic bags, PVC (poly vinyl chloride) plastic.

Pesticide containers are accepted at the Ste. Rose Waste Disposal Grounds. There are 3 steps that must be followed prior to dropping them off:
  1. Triple or pressure rinse containers
  2. Remove the cap and booklet (but leave label on)
  3. Return the containers to a nearby collection site.

For information on recycling paint or compact fluorescent lights and tubes go to www.productcare.org/mb. The nearest collection sites are Dauphin Home Hardware in Dauphin and Molgat Shopping Centre in Laurier.

NEW Only ribbon cut paper will be picked up in the clear plastic bags. NO OTHER RECYCLABLES will be picked up if placed in bags.
